Somethings seriously wrong with the weather.Has to be something about global warming or Sarah Palin or something...walked to office, it was very sunny, 75F(24C ), no wind and insanely warm! and this is January mind you.:-|
And to top it all, the weather forecast for day after tomorrow is Max 41F (5C), min 36F(1C) with chance of ice rain.
Weirdness!

You know you have been working too hard and spending too much time away from family when while chatting with your dad - you type "good night data" instead of "good night dad" :-|
Well seriously, how can you appeal to the middle class if your wife brandishes a $300,000 outfit at the convention??

And this is the first time, I spied the Google Logo on a launch vehicle

Some people go through a phase where every plant they touch - dies. I am in a phase where every computer I touch - dies. First, it was the office PC. What seemed to be a harmless link to classical music on 365live.com turned out to be malicious, very soon I was under the attack of a thousand Vundo Viruses... (stay away from 365live.com!!!!) Next it was the office laptop, as I went about chipping away on my paper, the laptop suddenly rebooted..and then came the omnious BIOS message - "System memory has changed, reducing available memory" !!!! David (our sys-support) tells me that a memory stick burnt up...WTF???.. Then David moves in a new desktop into my office, I login into it...the logon process is still in progress ( 2 weeks and waiting). Frustated, I go down to Cindy and get a laptop, things work fine for a day, day 2 - the network adapter doesn't work and wireless dies after 2 mins :((

You may call George W. Bush dumb, incompetent, a moron, whatever! But for today, he is my savior! I got my economic stimulus check at a time when I needed the most.

The last twelve months had been crazy - work was/is killing, i moved apartments twice, traveled some 30,000kms, met over hundreds of new faces and I got married too. Sadly, I couldnt find a place to host my linux boxes, they have been powered down for months :((....I am stuck to windoze 24X7 (horror horror!), my linux skills have begun to stink (horror horror horror!)....i grappled for five minutes to recollect '/etc/fstab' (horror horror horror horror!), i grappled for another five to mount all the filesystems (horror horror horror horror horror!).

The week is not over yet and another tragedy strikes. Again this time, the tragedy is very very close to me.
A Blue Angels F/A-18 crashed during an air show in South Carolina killing the pilot as his family watched.

A piece of debris lying on a road near the crash site, you can clearly see the "Blue Angels" logo - April 21 2007
I have had a Blue Angels poster/pic in my bedroom since I was 11. The first poster was handed down by my brother and when I eventually trashed it (because it was in tatters) it it was well over 20 years old. Even now as I make this post, four high resolution pictures of the Blue Angels mark the wall behind me.
The team performed in NASJRB three years ago; and I pestered the hell out of a extremely busy but kind hearted soul to give me a 280 mile ride (140 miles to and fro - twice) to see them perform. When the Blue Angels eventually took to the skies, a cherished childhood dream came true. For the next twenty minutes, I glued my ears to the scanner and the eyes to the camera - and those were certainly one of the best moments of my life.
That day I suffered sun burns that took a week to heal, but the memories....they were etched for a lifetime!

It has been one hell of a distressing week.

Wednesday, April 18th became one of the bloodiest days in Iraq. Over 200 died in four explosions that rocked Baghdad.
